Registration for the event is now officially open!
During Week of the Eagles (WOTE) in June, The Hamburger Hill Chapter's 52nd Anniversary will be hosting the National Association Reunion in celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Desert Shield/Desert Storm. This is in roughly 7 months so mark your calendars. Rakkasans of all eras are encouraged to attend.
Accommodations for 2021's gatherings have moved to the Country Inn & Suites by Raddison. We have 82 rooms blocked for our event (with the potential for 105). At the 50th we did run out of rooms several months prior to the Reunion so make your reservations early. The hotel has 3 types of holds on rooms, please designate that you are there for either the National Rakkasan Reunion, The Hamburger Hill Reunion or the Desert Storm Anniversary - this information helps us plan events in the future. They have been having a few problems with their network since Christmas Day so if you call and they tell you the Rakkasan block of rooms is filled, ask to speak to Ashly. As of now there are plenty of rooms (but they will sell out as we get closer to June). The cost per room is $89 plus tax per night. Breakfast will be included and the hotel will have a hospitality suite available. You can call the hotel at (931) 645-1400. Please check in with the Rakkasans at the Country Inn when you arrive- even if you are staying somewhere else.
Things to know:
You will need your ID as a passenger on the bus - please have it available. If you DO have a Military ID Card you may use any gate. If you DO NOT have a Military ID Card you must go through the Visitor’s Center at Gate 4 each day with your license and registration to your car.
This is a special lunch for those that do not want to go to the Wednesday range hosted by the lovely ladies who support Rakkasans. Tickets are free on the events tab - please select it if you plan to attend, this is how we get a head count.
If you would like to contribute something to be auctioned off to raise funds for the Hamburger Hill Chapter (our hosts for this event), please contact Mike Smith email@example.com
Dress is always casual (but can be appropriately decorated by visiting the Rakkasan Store) for all events except the Memorial Dinner. The active duty group will be in Dress Blues so please be in business attire (Coat and Tie). It is not mandatory, but it is appropriate for the occasion.
If you have a business (or would like to as an individual) that would like to be listed as a sponsor for the event, please contact Rachael Vance firstname.lastname@example.org or Mike Smith email@example.com to discuss options and sponsorship levels. Sponsorship support is deeply appreciated!
A detailed schedule available at the reunion check in table in the lobby of the Country Inn. The 101st has their own schedule of events for Week of the Eagles available here
